Two Men Stabbed in Salford Flat
The two victims were enjoying a night out in Manchester on 16 November 2008 and met up with another man, who they invited back to their flat in Higher Broughton. However, when the trio got back to the flat an argument broke out and the third man turned violent, stabbing both victims.
One of the victims suffered three puncture wounds to his back that needed stitches and a cut to his neck. The other victim sustained cuts to his hand. The injuries were not life threatening.
Police are now appealing to anyone who has information about the stabbing, which happened at about 4am, to come forward.
Detectives have also released CCTV images taken from a shop in Piccadilly that shows the attacker and his two victims.
He is described as white, about 5ft 6in tall, of medium build and with dark brown hair that came just below shoulder-length. He was wearing black jeans, black boots and was carrying a black jacket over his left shoulder.
He was also wearing a sleeveless AC/DC T-shirt with blue lettering and had a distinctive, large tattoo on his right arm.
Detective Constable Brian Johnston, from Swinton CID, said: "The victims were subjected to a frenzied attack by this man and it is lucky they did not suffer more serious injuries.
"We are releasing CCTV stills of the offender in the hope that someone recognises him. The man we are looking for had a large and distinctive tattoo on his right arm and I would appeal to anyone who knows this man to come forward.
"He is clearly a danger and I would ask that anyone who knows him does the right thing and calls police before he can strike again."
Anyone with information should call Swinton CID on 0161 856 5097 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
