A6 Broad Street Accident - Thursday 29th October

A woman suffered a fractured arm during a collision on the A6 at Salford.

At about 3pm on Thursday 29 October 2008, police were informed that a silver Jaguar had overturned on the A6 at Broad Street and that the occupants were trapped.

Officers attended and the four occupants were taken to hospital. A woman who was the front seat passenger sustained a fractured arm and was released later that day.

The other occupants suffered minor injuries.

Police believe the Jaguar lost control before overturning and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

The Jaguar was also involved in some form of altercation with the driver of a dark coloured saloon prior to the incident and police are keen to trace whomever was driving this car.

Police Constable Andrew Broadhurst from the Area Four Road Policing Unit based at Stretford said: "I would stress that this second car was not involved in the Jaguar overturning in anyway but it might be that the driver has important information that could help us with our investigation, so I would urge them to get in touch."

Anyone with information should call the Area Four Road Policing Unit on 0161 856 5073.
