UPDATE Man Critical Following Collision - Worsley
A man is in hospital following a collision on the A580 East Lancashire Road in Salford.
At about 5.15am on Wednesday 29 October 2008, police were informed that a blue Volkswagen Golf had collided with a lamppost near to the junction with Walkden Road.
Officers attended along with firefighters who had to free the 28-year-old driver.
He has been taken to Hope Hospital with internal injuries and a suspected broken leg and arm. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Road closures were put in place but have now been lifted.
