Police Increase Patrols after Brawl in Broughton
Shortly before 5.50pm on Monday 14 September 2008, police were called to Murray Street in Broughton, Salford, following reports of fighting.Officers attended and found that three cars had been vandalised.
One person suffered a minor injury.
One man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and another was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. Both remain in police custody for questioning.
Efforts are being made to reassure the local community, and extra police presence including stop and search warrants have been put in place in the area.
