Murder investigation launched (Winton)

A murder inquiry has been launched after a 17-year-old boy died in Winton, Eccles.

Shortly after 11pm last night, Friday 5 September 2008, police were called to New Lane, Winton, following a report of a disturbance.

Officers attended and found a 17-year-old boy had suffered serious stab wounds to the abdomen.

He was taken to Hope Hospital where he was given emergency treatment, but he died a short time later.

No-one else was injured in the incident.

A team of detectives are investigating this incident and officers are currently at the scene.

Officers are at the early stages of this inquiry, but now want to hear from any witnesses who could assist the investigation.

the court is to soft with kids with knives bring back conscription. the army would sort them out. because the courts don,t seem to be doing there job. are they scared of the consequences ?
