New Year reveller missing from home - city centre
Police are growing increasingly concerned for a 20-year-old man who went missing in the early hours of Monday, 2 January 2012.

Hayer Gurdeep, 20, travelled to Manchester from West Bromwich on 31 December 2011 to celebrate New Years Eve. He stayed with friends on Egerton Road, Fallowfield.

He celebrated New Years Eve and went out again with friends on the night of 1 January 2012.

He went to Sankeys, on Radium Street, Manchester, and was last seen in the early hours of the following morning, 2 January 2012.

When last seen Hayer was wearing a navy blue polo shirt, black or blue jeans and trainers. He is described as Asian, with a medium build, about 5ft 1in tall with spiky black hair with stubble, and he speaks with a Midlands accent.

Detective Inspector Mark Radford, of South Manchester CID, said: “Hayer was last seen in Sankeys by his friends and did not manage to make it back to his friends house.

“His friends and family are clearly distressed by what’s happened and really want to hear from Hayer. They simply want to know that he is safe.

“We want to hear from anyone who may have seen Hayer either in Sankeys that night or who may have seen him in the area later on.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 6152 or 101.
