Teenagers charged after attempted robbery
Two teenagers have been charged after an attempted robbery in Cadishead.

A 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from the Cadishead area, are charged with attempted robbery and appeared before Salford Magistrates' Court on 14 August 2010. The 14-year-old is also charged with using threatening words / behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress and racially / religiously aggravated harassment without violence.

They were bailed to appear back before magistrates' on 17 August 2010.

At about 8pm on 11 August 2010, police were called to Stanley Wine and News on Liverpool Road after the shopkeeper was threatened by two offenders armed with a bottle and cigarettes were demanded.

The offenders left without stealing anything but threw the bottle, damaging stock.
