Two charged over Rusholme robbery
Two men have been charged over a robbery in Salford.

Abdul Sharah (born 09/02/1992) of Mauldeth Road West, Withington, and Omar Samli (born 15/09/1988) of Taylorson Street, Ordsall, have been charged with robbery.

They were due to appear at Salford Magistrates' Court on Friday 6 August 2010.

At 12.50am on Thursday 5 August 2010, police were called to Ordsall Lane, Ordsall, following reports a taxi driver had been robbed at gunpoint.

Officers attended and discovered a taxi driver had been robbed after picking up two men outside a restaurant in Rusholme and recovered what is believed to be a pellet gun nearby.

he rang for a taxi from his mobile went to his flat and thats when abdul pulled out a gun and robbed him. no one is dumb enough to rob some one outside there own flat. im not sayin he is an angel he does have previous but the last time he was in trouble was around 2 years ago i think, why all of a sudden would he do something so stupid, i know he didnt do it.

It is a bit weird robbing a taxi driver right outside your house though. Did he phone for a taxi then pull a gun on the driver or do it just after he'd been dropped off?

If this Omar is such a shining example to society and would never hurt a fly do you really think the police would waste their time with this? He probably has a string of previous a mile long.

Oh, I guess you mean the incident happened directly outside his flat.

i know 100% omar had nothing to do with this and yes hassan that does speak for itself. i know omar very well and he is not the type to do this outside his own flat aswell. he has a baby on the way aswell and is due to marry in the summer. and yes it does look suspicious all them 3 comments together but regardless he did not do it, why would he do something so daft outside his own flat with olans for marriage in summer. what happens if he gets found guilty for something he didnt do he will miss his childs life.
