Two teenagers arrested following gun attack in Salford park
Two teenagers have been arrested after two boys were hit with a gun during an attack by a group of youths in Salford.

The two boys, both aged 15, were arrested on suspicion of Section 18 Assault and have been bailed until 11 September 2010 pending further inquiries.

At about 9.45pm on Thursday 22 July 2010, two 16-year-old boys were in Buile Hill Park with three girl friends when they were approached by a group of eight or ten youths.

One boy was kicked and punched and repeatedly hit over the head with a gun.

When the second victim went to help his friend he was also attacked.

The first victim suffered multiple fractures, cuts and bruises. His friend suffered a cut to his head.

The youths were described as having sticky out ears dressed in dark sportswear witha smell of cannabis, all of them wore a vacant gormless expression.

I'm not sure you want to clout anyone who's brandishing a gun.

You wonder...If we still had 'parkies' or park keepers.... would the police not have been made aware that a bunch of ne'er do wells were in the park?

What a pair of horrible little specimens of society, eight or ten setting about two boys, name and shame them then lock them up. If I was their parents I would be ashamed and help the police, tough love, yes but it is neccesary. Carrying a "gun" presumably a replica or an air gun does not justify this, sadly this gun culture we are living in appeals to these morons. I shake my head.
