Cadishead Rhinos under 15s 0 Saddleworth Rangers 54
Match report from Paul Elliott The under 15's hosted top of the table Saddleworth Rangers on Sunday 9th September. The well drilled Oldham side struggled in the early satges and Cadishead were unlucky not to take the lead when Matt Finch had a try disallowed for a double movement following one of his typical barnstorming runs. Although the final scoreline of 54-0 looks comprehensive, the Saddleworth team certainly knew they had been pushed all the way by a very spirited and committed Rhinos side who never gave up from start to finish. Rhinos man of the match Matt Finch troubled the opposition all afternoon with his powerful running and full back Lewis O'Dell pegged them back with a great kicking display. Steven Higham and Michael Gorney excelled in the backs and captain James Crozier kept the side together despite the one sided scoreline.
Rhinos Under 15s are due to play Culcheth Eagles on Sunday 16th November at home, Kick 10.30am.
