Christmas comes to Eccles - Market off, Lights on! The Christmas Market opened with a bang on Friday in Eccles Shopping Precinct when Emmerdale's Dominic Brunt, who plays Paddy Kirk, arrived early in the evening to switch on the town's Christmas lights (along with Santa Claus, of course), and announce the £1000 winner of the Guess The Celebrity competition.
