Last Chance to vote: Salford Elected Mayor referendum
Tonight is your last opportunity to have your say in the Salford Elected Mayor referendum.

Poll booths across the city (between five and ten in every ward in Salford) close at 10pm if you still want to cast your vote. You can find your nearest polling station by following the link at the bottom of the page.

Two people who have voted below give their own reasons.

I'm Voting NO: Elaine Kenny, 41, lives on Pasture Green Way in Irlam. She told SalfordOnline:

"Me and my 18-year old lad voted by post yesterday. I think it's important to cast your vote and have your say.

"I first heard about the referendum a couple of months ago. I thought it was a load of nonsense and a complete waste of money.

"I was in a shop today and I saw one of the Vote Yes leaflet with the "Halve Council Tax" claim. It worries me because that could be very attractive to people who don't understand how much it's going to cost the city.

"The guy who's brought it in [shopowner Geoffrey Berg] isn't even from Salford. I find it offensive that someone that's not even from here can bring this in.

"You have to think how much time the mayor already gives to the community. I'd be very sad to see that disappear."

I'm Voting YES: Marie Harvey from Cadishead writes:

"We did not receive the YES leaflets for this mayoral fiasco here in Cadishead.

"But then again Cadishead is always last on their list of priorities unless they want to take something away such as our Recreation Centre then they do manage to find us all.

"I have however received the NO leaflet.

"I do not trust any of them involved with Salford, least of all after the BBC jobs fiasco."
