Puppy Boris needs a home in Salford
by Tom Rodgers
More adorable pets at RSPCA Salford and Manchester branch are looking for new owners. Boris is 10 month old black and tan Cross-Breed dog the size of a collie. "He was signed over to the RSPCA because his owner was unable to give him the care that he needed," says Susie Hughes, manager at the local RSPCA. Boris was infested with fleas, which had caused so much irritation that he was covered in sores, but he's now healing nicely and his fur is growing back. "When Boris first came into our care he was very nervous and especially fearful of men, however, after 3 weeks of settling in he has now blossomed and is a much more confident dog who greets familiar faces with waggy tails and happiness!", Susie added. This energetic puppy loves being out and about and going on walks and is very gentle. The RSPCA recommend that he will benefit from being socialised and trained at ‘puppy school’. Finally, Susie noted: "Boris deserves a loving home, ideally with an older dog for companionship, as he hasn’t been given the best start in life and we do suspect he has been inappropriately punished for his puppy ways. "We want to find him a calm, new home that will take a patient and loving approach with him to help him learn that humans can be trusted so he can invest his love in you in return."
