Good Neighbour Agreement in Eccles
City West has developed a “Good Neighbour Agreement” (GNA) which is being piloted in parts of the Eccles area. Customers on the ASB Service Excellence Group were involved in the creation of the agreement which is aimed at promoting positive behaviour and reinforcing community values. It also highlights the commitment of City West, and our partners, to tackling anti-social behaviour. The agreement is entered into voluntarily. By signing it, customers are promising to act as good neighbours to each other and demonstrates a collective commitment to sharing responsibility for tackling unacceptable behaviour in order to make their neighbourhood an even better place to live. The first part of the pilot took place in the New Lane Neighbourhood earlier this month, and was very positively received. On Wednesday 23rd November, Neighbourhood and ASB Officers will be joined by PCSOs, involved customers and members of the scrutiny panel to launch the scheme on Verdun Road and Lambton Street. This initiative will then be rolled out across West Salford with the GNA being tailored to individual neighbourhoods. Image: Verdun Road, Eccles Source: City West Housing.
