Free sessions for Salford's vital carers
People who want to learn about how to be a better carer can do so with this series of free sessions from the Alzhiemers Society.

Lisa New is a Dementia Support Worker in Salford.

She will be running a Carer Information and Support Programme (CrISP as it's known!) for 6 weeks on a Thursday afternoon commencing Thurs 9th Feb 1.30 - 3.45pm at the Humphrey Booth Resource Centre, Worsley Rd.

The sessions will cover Understanding Dementia; Legal and Money matters; Providing Support and Care to a person with dementia; and Coping Day to Day.

The sessions are free and are open to anyone caring for a person who has had a fairly recent diagnosis of dementia (within the last 12 months).

Please spread the word to any carers who may be interested - they can contact the society on 0161 962 4769 or 07889 604543 or by e-mailing lisa.new@alzheimers.org.uk.
