Action Fraud is the name used by the National Fraud Reporting Centre. This scheme allows members of the public and small/medium sized businesses to report allegations of fraud and offers crime prevention advice and victim support. Types of Fraud Greater Manchester Police take fraud seriously and have a dedicated unit who deal with major frauds and assist our own divisions and other law enforcement agencies in their investigations. If your bank account or debit/credit cards have been compromised you should report the matter to the appropriate financial institution in the first instance. They will conduct their own investigation and report the matter to the police if appropriate.
