Eccles Tesco's first ever police surgery
By Tony Flynn

A police surgery was held at Tesco Express, Liverpool Road, Eccles on Wednesday afternoon, the first to be held there.

PCSO Mark Wilcock was on hand to to answer queries from the general public, hand out information leaflets and generally help and advise.

Sergeant Tom Martin from Salford South Neighbouring Police Team said: "This type of location is ideal as it always attracts a large number of people and gives them the oppourtunity to discuss issues with their local officers".

The next police surgery at Tesco Express is planned for a month's time. Every little helps as they say.

What a stupid idea, not even a real policeman at that. Still, I suppose their presence might help tesco understand the law what with having refused to sell spoons to an adult before now. That said, it is a pcso after all, so I expect they have little by way of knowledge of the law. In my experince, most pcso's have been rude, aggressive, inappropriate and little more than children.
