Bogus caller alert in Broughton
Salford police have sent us details of a bogus caller operating in the Broughton area of Salford. Full details below.

Unknown offender approaches communal front ground door to the property, which leads to 4 flats situated within converted house. Offender has with him a pram, which has a young child in it. Offender knocks on communal front door, Aggrieved hears knocking, goes to the front door, leaving her flat door open, where she is met by the male.

He gives an excuse that he is trying to locate a friend who may live in the top flat and can he come into check. The aggrieved lets the offender in while she is left to look after the pram and baby on the street.

The offender enters the premises and gains access to the aggrieveds flat left open while she is down stairs.

The offender steals property from within, returns to the pram and the waiting aggrieved. He engages in conversation for a short while explaining that he is Polish and then leaves with the pram and baby.

White male, approx 28 years old, 5'9", fair skinned, has a closely shaven blonde hair style, wearing a white/grey casual tracksuit top with jeans, had a light coloured pram with a hood, with a young child within covered over with a blanket, mittens on.
