Will you be Salford's eyes and ears
In Salford West and other parts of the city, catalytic converters have been stolen from vans. Offenders have been going under the vehicle, extracting the converter and selling it as scrap. Six have been stolen in July.

Blackfriars bordering with Salford East and Salford Central have seen a number of incidents where personal property has been stolen from vehicles. Peak days have been Friday 1pm till 7pm. Take all valuables out of your vehicle. If personal possessions are left in full view, it will be highly likely they will be gone when you return to your vehicle

A number of burglaries have taken place across Salford East during the day through to the evening. The majority of crimes have been attempts with items being taken including a TV.

Officers are urging people to keep an eye out for any suspicious behaviour and report it to police. Ensure all doors and windows are locked in your property, particularly if you are out. Set an alarm and a timer light so it gives the impression someone is home.

In Salford North bordering with Salford South, there have been a number of overnight burglaries and theft of motor vehicles along Folly Lane/Rocky Lane. Two have been found burnt out. Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times. Set an alarm and use a security device such as a crook lock. Remove all valuables from the vehicle and leave the glove compartment open to show there is nothing there.
