Bogus Officials Target Residents
2 bogus official burglaries were reported yesterday, 1 in Clifton and 1 in Walkden.

The same description of the offender has been given by both victims: White male, in his 30's, dark hair, moustache, wearing a blue shirt, dark pants and in one incident had on grey cotton gloves.
In both incidents the male said he was from the 'Water Board' and needed to check the taps..
PLEASE remember that the water board does not exist, the only water provider in the North West is United Utilities. United Utilities will not knock on anyones door asking to check the water or the taps.
