GMP's Crime Time have made us aware of bogus water board officials working in the Pendlebury area.

*Two males activate buzzer on communal door and state they are checking the water supply.
*Occupant allows access via communal door and allows them into the flat. *Offenders take the occupant in the kitchen to turn taps on.
*Offenders then leave the address taking an amount of cash.

If you have any information on the above please contact police on 0161 872 5050.

Do you mean they say "you go in there and turn the taps on" and snatch up some cash while you're not looking? Because that's really not very clear.
