Firefighters set to shine your car
This weekend fire stations across Greater Manchester are taking part in The Fire Fighters Charity National Car Wash, so why not get your local firefighters to wash away any winter grime from your vehicles.
This is a great chance for people to have a chat with firefighters about keeping themselves and their homes safe from fire whilst their car is being given a spring clean. There is of course a serious reason why this event is taking place at many UK fire stations; to raise much needed funds for The Fire Fighters Charity. In return for cleaning your car you will have the opportunity to make a donation to show your support. Steve McGuirk, County Fire Officer and Chief Executive, said: "The National Car Wash Day is a great opportunity for us to raise money for a worthwhile cause which has benefited many fire service staff members and their families over the years. This weekend we hope to see thousands of gleaming cars on the streets of Greater Manchester."
