Engineer rescued from cherry picker in Swinton
A BT engineer was rescued by firefighters after getting trapped in the bucket of his cherry picker at the top of a telegraph pole in Swinton. A crew from Agecroft were called to Lime Avenue at 11.49am this morning. A 50 year old man was marooned nine metres off the ground after the bucket became stuck to the top of the pole as he was working on phone lines.
