Broughton family suffers from smoke after kitchen fire
Two infants and their mother are recovering after being caught in a kitchen fire last night in Broughton Park, Salford 7.

Firefighters from Broughton and Agecroft were called to a home on Singleton Road in Broughton Park after reports of a pan of food that had caught fire.

The fire was already out when the fire crews arrived at 11.10pm, but the family were suffering from smoke inhalation.

Trauma technicians needed to treat the two very young children and their mother immediately, but the woman declined to go to hospital.

A positive pressure fan was then used to ventilate the home.
