Eccles firefighters rescue man from canal
On Sunday (October 2) at around 3.50am, crews from Salford, and the Water Incident Unit from Eccles were called to help a man who had fallen in the Manchester Ship Canal at Water Street. After a search of the area, he was found at around 4.10am and rescued using a ladder. Firefighters gave the man oxygen before he was taken to hospital by ambulance. Source: GMF.
