Writers - join Salford workshop for National Libraries Day
by Mark Bright

The Height Library will host a writing workshop with local writer Robert Graham to celebrate National Libraries Day.

On Saturday 4th February from 10.30am to 12.30pm Robert will teach a short class on fiction writing.

At a time when library opening hours are being cut and some in the city are being threatened altogether, it is imperative that we stand up and tell the world that we appreciate libraries and the joy they bring to our communities.

Robert Graham teaches Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.

His short stories have appeared in magazines and on Radio 4. He is the co-author of three Creative Writing handbooks.

His other publications include a novel: Holy Joe, a short story collection
The Only Living Boy and he co-authored Elvis - The Novel (The Do-Not Press, 1997).

Places are limited for the short course so get your tickets now by calling 0161 736 1907 or emailing Height.library@salford.gov.uk.

Height Library, King Street, Salford, M6 7GY. Tickets: £3 for library members or £4 for non-members.
