Free family fun weekend at The Lowry Get down to The Lowry this Bank Holiday for free family fun to celebrate the launch of an exciting new exhibition uncovering the past, present and future of Salford Quays.
There’s plenty to enjoy: arts and crafts, storytelling, street games and swing dance for starters! All activities are suitable for ages 5+. Meanwhile a new exhibition in the Gallery invites you to discover more about the fast-changing Salford Quays area, from its days as one of the busiest docks in Britain, through its decline and later rebirth as a centre for the arts and media. Unlocking Salford Quays is an ongoing project celebrating the Lowry’s 10th anniversary, working with local communities to bring the history of the area back to life. All activities take place in and around The Lowry and are completely free.
