Sundays in Salford
This weekend is all about Mum’s and if you’re not sure what to do this Sunday for Mother’s Day, look no further than our great ideas. If you’re stuck for what you can do this weekend, why not enjoy a stroll around our fair city and maybe learn a thing or two about it’s past with our Industrial Heritage Trails? Or maybe head down to The Lowry to see Dave Gorman for one night only

Mother’s Day . This Sunday is of course Mother’s Day – if you’ve forgotten your card, quick there’s still time! There are lots of things to do this weekend to give your Mother a treat, check out our Mothers Day suggestions. We’ve put together some great ideas and pulled together some great offers to spoil your Mum this weekend.

Industrial Heritage Trails . Spring is finally here and as we say goodbye to the dark early evenings and hello to sunshine (fingers crossed), it’s the perfect reason to get outdoors. If you've picked up the heritage bug and want to explore Salford's history why not go on one of our range of fascinating self-guided walks. There are four to choose from and each one let’s you discover a different area of the city.

Other weekend ideas...

Dave Gorman at The Lowry . In 2009, Dave Gorman set off on a unique national tour. The intention: to cycle over 1500 miles across Britain in 33 day with a gig each night. But demand for the show has been so high that he’s decided to keep performing it… but this time without cycling from venue to venue. He’s gone back to his roots as a straight up, one-man-and-a-mic stand-up whose material is “mercilessly sharp and original.” (The Times.)
Saturday 13 March, to book tickets contact 0870 787 5780.

Albert Park Pamper Picnic . You get pampered in preparation for Mother’s Day while your little ones get prepared to pamper you. There are pamper session for the parents, gift and card making for the kids – everyone’s a winner. This is a FREE event, meet at the changing rooms, Albert Park Saturday 13 March from 12pm - 3pm
