Salford students celebrate fantastic A-Level results for 2010
Students at all centres of Salford City College have excelled by achieving a set of record breaking results for the college. With an overall A-Level pass rate of over 99%, students have given themselves and their tutors a lot to be proud of, as well as allowing the majority of students to progress to university. In addition, a 100% pass rate was gained on 25 A-Level subjects, from over 2,000 A- Level entries. Three students have also accepted places at Oxford or Cambridge Universities. Vocational course results at the college centres are also being celebrated. Every advanced vocational subject, the equivalent of 3 A-Levels, gained a 100% pass rate. This is a fantastic record for the college and a great achievement for the young people. Martin Sim, Principal, proudly stated "I am delighted with our students’ achievements. They are a result of the hard work and determination from the students and the commitment and dedicated support of the staff. I would like to congratulate everyone and I wish them well in their next step to university or in starting their working life. We are confident that we will continue to enable students to achieve their full potential and are excited about the prospects of the future, for those students continuing their studies with us or those starting new in September.
