All Aboard! Pandas Arrive in Paris from China: FedEx Panda Express Brings the First Furry Friends to France in More Than 10 Years
Working in conjunction with the ZooParc de Beauval and the Chinese Association of Zoological Gardens (CAZG) in China, FedEx Express have flown two three year old giant pandas – female Huan Huan and male Yuan Zi – non-stop from Chengdu Airport in China to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France.

The animals boarded a specially-chartered and panda-decaled Boeing 777F flight known as the "FedEx Panda Express" on Sunday, January 15. The arrival of Huan Huan and Yuan Zi will mark the first time in more than 10 years that giant pandas will reside in France. Currently, conservationists estimate that only 1,600 of them remain in the wild. Both Huan Huan and Yuan Zi are part of global giant panda conservation programs, designed to increase the population. Late last year, two giant pandas were also delivered to Edinburgh, Scotland.
