MSC Magnifica Cruise Liner Christened by Sophia Loren in Port of Hamburg
Hamburg was the venue for a spectacular christening ceremony. For the first time, movie icon Sophia Loren christened a ship from the Italian shipping company MSC Cruises in the German port. German and Italian VIPs celebrated the event.

With a growth rate of 57.7 percent, the port of Hamburg leads as the fastest-growing cruise liner port among of all German seaports.
