Brown to Make Care a Priority
Gordon Brown is to make expanding social care a key priority, the Independent reports.The government yesterday launched an inquiry into the availability of care "postcode lottery", after a watchdog report found that nearly 300,000 elderly people are not getting services they need from the state.
Health minister Ivan Lewis said: "I want to see an end to the 'no help here' culture, which is now creeping into parts of the system."
