Apprentice Kristina talks to Chapel Street on Salford marketing

Kristina Grimes, the 2008 runner up on BBC Two's The Apprentice, gave a short talk to the members of the Chapel Street Business Group last month. She talked about the need to continue to advertise during an economic downturn, and advised the group's members - which includes nearly 500 local companies - on how to survive the a possible recession.

Grimes started her own motivational training business, called KGJCP, little more than 6 months ago with former Apprentice team-mate Jenny Celerier; they say it was "set up to compensate for the deficit in quality Business and Performance Excellence Training combining motivational training with skill set."

Grimes delivered a short presentation briefly covering the following topics:

- The Economic Climate – friend or foe
- How to turn adversity into opportunity
- The Real Sales Pitch – what is it that sets you above your competitors.
