Salford Business Awards 2012 are now open for entries
The search is on for Salford’s most successful businesses with the launch of the 2012 Salford Business Awards, sponsored by TalkTalk Technology. Businesses of all shapes and sizes are invited to enter one or more of the eight categories, which this year will include two brand new awards – Rising Star and the Best Employer. To be in with a chance of winning an award you must get your entries in by Friday 17 February 2012. Organised by the Salford City Council, the University of Salford and the Business Group Salford, the awards will take place on Thursday 31 May 2012 at the new Salford City Stadium. Finalists will be shortlisted in February and winners announced on the night. Councillor John Merry, Leader of Salford City Council said: “Now in its fifth year, the Salford Business Awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise the huge contribution Salford’s businesses are making to the city’s economy. We are looking forward to welcoming award entries from a wide range of sectors, demonstrating Salford’s dynamic and diverse business base – good luck.” Martin Hall, Vice Chancellor of University of Salford said: “The University of Salford fully supports local businesses and business development in our city. These awards are a great way of showcasing talent and innovation”.
