Why not stock up on your Christmas cards for next year by supporting local charity After Adoption, their Christmas cards are available at www.amazon.co.uk/shops/afteradoption, featuring the lovable alien from their new book for adopted children, the Making of U.

Or if you would like to make a festive donation to help change the lives of children and adults affected by adoption in lieu of sending cards this year, text ADOP11 and the amount you want to give £3, £5 or £10 to 70070. You will automatically receive a receipt and the chance to add Gift Aid by filling in a web form or by text message.

Or why not start off your New Year by dropping in to support After Adoption at the CAMRA National Winter Ales Festival taking place 18th -21st January 2012 at the Sheridan Suite in Manchester, where they are the Festival charity.

Next year is KidsCan's 10th Anniversary and you can take part in the celebrations. They are holding a series of three Ladies Luncheons at the Lowry Hotel where you will be treated to a delicious champagne afternoon tea and entertainment from three celebrity speakers. Tickets for each event are £40 and the dates are as follows:

February 24th – King of the Jungle, Christopher Biggins
March 30th – TBC
April 27th – The Apprentice Star, Ruth Badger
