 Friends of Eccles Station 6th Birthday
Dear FRECCLES Members and Supporters
Just a quick message to say thank you for all your support and encouragement and work in helping FRECCLES over the past six years and to note our sixth birthday. We have come a very long way from our humble beginnings gathering on the station forecourt on a cloudy afternoon on Thursday 15th September 2005 where we looked out over an overgrown shambles of uninviting station platforms where we spent as little time as possible. What we have now is almost unbelievable when I think back to that day and I am sure I am not alone in this thought. The support that has come from all sides and the members that turn out, sometimes in the most awful weather, to work on the Sunday clear-up/gardening days and those who help on the specialist groups and help us raise funds are admirable, even though we say it ourselves. We continue to move forward and look forward, here's to many more FRECCLES birthdays!
