The Cross Keys pub in Eccles is looking for your feedback. SalfordOnline received a comment on a related news story that has been reproduced here:
Any comments would be appreciated.
At the Cross Keys we are trying to give Eccles something it wants, lacks and certainly needs, a pub that tries to cater for all.
We might be new to the area but we are certainly not new to the trade, as we have been brought up in this trade
We hope we can eventually cater for everyone's needs, (apart from the critics who thrive on people's failures).
Don't forget, it's the constantly negative people who are failing the locals, not the people who are standing there 15 hours a day trying to give you something you need.
We are trying to please, come and try our pub, you never know, you might just enjoy it, any problems with that give us a call, tell us what you want!
This pub is for you, give us your feedback in writing to the pub, we will appreciate it, thank you x
Please leave any comments below.

It is supposed to have kicked off quite badly at the Flat Iron on Derby day, and quite a while before the game kicked off. It opened about 0800am. |

Why not put in for a childrens licence with restricted hours, that may help daytime trade?
Say 12 noon to 6pm? |
Comment by Guest 16th August 2010
All rooms are in use, unfortunately we inherited the license that children are not allowed in a working bar area, so to accommodate this, we are limited but we have a small beer garden at the rear of the pub, and a large room that isnt in full time use, where children are welcome with guardians, we will not tolerate children running about on the premises. As for drug dealers and takers, people who frequent the keys know how we feel about this and the way it is handled, i dont like the way the younger clientele are labelled as the druggies and users as in this business you find its people from all ages, and all classes that have this habit, we take a firm stand on this as much as any other publican in the town. We also have Functions booked, these come through our customers so they must feel we are doing something right to share there celebrations with us and bring their friends and families. We also adopt a "challenge 25 Policy" to make sure we cover ourselves with any underage drinkers, and lastly our draught prices start at £1.90 for a pint of John Smiths Smooth, £2.00 for Fosters and Carling X Cold, and £2.20 for Strongbow and Guinness. We are also looking into providing Real Cask Ales within the next 4-6 weeks, then hopefully around Christmas time, our kitchens should be open for Carverys, I hope this answers many Questions, but please call in and try us, Dawn,Sharon, and Anthony. |

No chavs, thugs, dealers, prozies, fights, drugs, wide boys, under agers, and a fair price for a decent product please |

The owners are going to have to adopt a strict door policy on age and dress code, have doorstaff at the weekend, friendly but not intimidating, make use of the upstairs rooms, live music, wedding, funerals etc, good cheap food and above all decent, sensibly priced beer otherwise you face the fate of other local pubs. An Eccles toper. |
