Community project in need of a helping hand...
Hello – we’re starting up a new community-oriented project that involves photography in Salford, and we’re in need of some unloved (but working) cameras, with chargers.
Please let us know if you have old / unwanted digital cameras hanging around in a drawer or under your bed that you’d be happy to donate to us, and we’ll give them an exciting new life!
We’re happy to come and pick them up – we’ll even buy you a coffee to say thanks.

I *think* this is legit. I googled the email address and the person has also put adverts on Flickr, Gumtree and Locanto. They also had a blog, with just one entry, and the whole blog's oddly disappeared now. In their other adds though they put their name and phone number and they're those of a photography assistant at Salford Uni. My point is this though, these are some hoops I'm having to jump through to try to figure out if this is legit. To the author, you really should give more details. Anyway, if I had old cameras just floating around I think I'd rather hock them on eBay rather than trade them in for a cup of coffee. |
