Posted by Tony Flynn on 1st February 2012 at 05:03 PM Salford Mayoral Referendum Campaign - The Mayoral Alliance
The Community Action Party & The English Democrats NW formed The Mayoral Alliance, to persuade the residents of the city of Salford, to change their system of local government which both parties believed was damaging to its people and the city of Salford.
Having achieved a YES vote in the recent Salford Mayoral referendum, The Community Action Party took the view that our party had achieved its objective within the "Alliance" and therefore has terminated the arrangement with The English Democrats NW and therefore The Mayoral Alliance of the two parties no longer exists.
The Community Action Party has a proud record of tolerence, equality, anti-discrimination and against prejudice and supporting the most vulnerable in society.
The Community Action Party will campaign in the elections in May on our own manifesto.
Michael Moulding of The Community Action Party in Salford states "The goal of achieving change in the city has been achieved, which we believe will result in greater democracy in Salford. The Community Action Party through myself made an enormous contribution to the referendum result, without which, the result may have been different. However, our "Alliance" was based on values relating to the mayoral system of local government and shared a common cause on this and not on any other extreme views The English Democrats."END
Yours Sincerely

Hirma - We were pleased with our efforts of which the majority came from our party on the ground over the other party. The Community Action Party and its values & manifesto are available on the internet. Many thanks. |

Good effort on the campaign for an elected Mayor, however I wouldn't vote for either of the alliance parties as long as my butt points downward. No offence guys but credibility is what is needed, along with a healthy dose of non party political aims and interests... |

Jenkins - interesting !! I may one day soon establish who you really are. For months you have done nothing but made personal attacks so am going to keep this brief and will not respond further. The Community Action party terminated any arrangement with the English Democrats. Our party had no intention of supporting any Eng Dem candidate within The Mayoral Alliance because of their right-wing racist views. However, they did reach agreement with us which we took in good faith to support our candidate who had already been nominated for CAP. We were happy with this because it demonstrated perhaps they were being guided by us in the "left" direction. They renaged on any agreement so the arrangement was terminated as we had achieved our goal. In relation to Mr Smith - his basis to twist a word block to "black" in the context I was using the word block was plain ridiculous and am happy to defend myself in full detail whenever the opportunity presents itself to me. I am proud of the stance I took. I am no racist. In relation to my private life all I will say is I am living on my capital and spending some of it for the betterment of the community where I live. I will be responding no further to you as you conveniently disappeared after the YES vote was achieved and have returned because it is convenient for you to try and capitalise on what has been made public, which I have said is something I am proud of. Mr Smith chose to believe and distort the evidence (badly) to protect the leader of the Preston Party whom within a few months was arrested, charged, prosecuted and convicted of downloading images of children being abused. My judgement was sound. END. |

Is this the same Michael Moulding who is branded a racist by MP Cyril Smith and has been booted out of the camp by Stephen Morris for being an embarrasement to this Mayoral Referendum Vote campaign, shurely not, or is the Facebook page Salford Voice telling porkies? and what is wrong with being a traffic warden, are you currently employed Michael or is it a state assisted job. do tell. |
