( Don't get too excited)
Excell have taken away the parking machines and all of the signs at Swinton Precinct, at this moment in time parking is FREE, but, don't get too excited, I spoke to a member of the management team today and was told that, parking is free "for the time being", but measures are being put in place to re- introduce charges, although tariffs have not been decided on yet. Whilst at the precinct, I noted that the car park was full, word soon get's round !!!. Perhaps the owners should have a re-think about charges, people vote with their feet and the shops must have noticed an upsurge in trade.

if you have any sence dont shop in swinton full stop.they love giving parking tickets out.all those people who have been given parking tickets DONT FORGET once bitten twice shy.go to walkden its free with no parking tickets. |

People have been boycotting this car park since the charges went on I never go to Swinton anymore and I was a regular visitor from Bury as I have family in Swinton. In the financial situation this country is in removing car park charges will increase visitors and business's will benefit making the recover much quicker. Keep the charges off. Makes you wonder if they will pull the car park down and sell the land off? Regards Ruby |

Perhaps the will never learn Reg, Parking was the death of the center.Why pay 50p if all you need is a pie or a bottle of milk? The Main shope have gone and all we have are Pound Shops. We tried before to get them to see sense and now i think all groups should get together to force the issue.Perhaps we should lead from the front on this one.
